More students are looking for study-abroad options that do not adhere to the traditional semester (15 week) calendar. Your institution may adopt a trimester (12-13 weeks) or quarterly (10-11 weeks) calendar. Perhaps you're planning on starting that summer job or internship earlier - or later - than expected. Or maybe you're a recent graduate who would like to polish your international Spanish skills before landing that first big interview.

If this is the case, USpain is a great option for you! In addition to our four- and eight-week summer sessions at the University of Valencia, we provide a great Winter and Spring break experience, as well as 10-week special topic sessions starting in January and April. You'll be able to study Spanish language and culture with our directors, pursue independent projects or internships, and participat in our blended conversation courses with USpain's personal support and low fees.
If you are a faculty member who would like to lead a program for your students in Valencia, we would be delighted to host your group. As one of Spain's oldest, largest, and most forward-looking cities, Valencia is ideal for studying Spanish, History, Environment, Business, and more!
As experienced former faculty and Valencia natives, we are able to:
-
Help you draft your curriculum and/or funding application;
-
Put you in contact with local faculty and/or experts in your field;
-
Support you in teaching or tutoring course content;
-
Provide adequate teaching space for in-class sessions;
-
Identify particular sites of interest for your group;
-
Arrange travel, housing, and meals for you and your students.

We work with institutions, faculty, and students to arrange a rewarding and enjoyable experience in Valencia on your terms and your budget!
Special sessions are semester-long or short-term programs that explore a particular topic from a variety of perspectives and/or approaches. USpain looks forward to offering series of special sessions from Spring 2020 onward:

-
Sustainable Spain
-
The Urban Museum
-
Mediterranean Migrations
-
Issues in Public Health
-
European Entrepreneurship
... and more!

If you have a topic or approach that you'd like to explore in Valencia, we'd be glad to develop a special session around your interests.
